Ingredients:

1 pack of filo pastry

4-5 apples (Royal Gala or Granny Smith)

4-5 spoons of coconut sugar

4-5 spoons of sunflower oil

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup or crushed walnuts

1 cup of raisins (optional)

Method

1.Rinse, peel and grate your apples. In a pan add about 2 spoons of oil and the apples and sugar and stir for about 2-3 minutes.

2. Then add raisins and walnuts and let simmer for 5 minutes. Then lay the filo pastry sheets and in each spread about 2-3 spoons of the apple filling and roll as a cigar.

3. Then put all the rolls spirally in an oiled baking tray until you finish the rolls. Use the rest of the oil and brush it on top. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees until you get golden crispy top. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can soak the raisins in dark rum or other liquor before you add them to the apples to cook.

  • If you son’t want it to be too crispy once you take it out of the oven sprinkle a bit of still water on top.
